Dolphin was founded in 1973 by our managing director. He specialised in gritblasting and the application of protective coatings to the Steel, Engineering, Coal, Docks and Aquatic industries.

After 5 successful years he decided to expand into General Decorating and also the application of specialist decorative coverings and finishes including low and high pressure volume spray applications.

By 1987 Dolphin had grown considerably and built up a large customer base. Following this success it became apparent that a large number of clients would also welcome the opportunity to deal with one company, who not only had the expertise of painting and decorating, but also a refurbishment and general maintenance and repair facility. This became the company's objective and a separate division was formed to provide this service. This is now a well established part of the business and continues to achieve growth each year.

Dolphin are on the Government approved "Constructionline" list of Building Trades Contractors and are currently in the process of achieving I.S.O. 9000 Quality Assurance. We are members of the National Federation of Builders, and the British Decorators Association.
